About The Trail of Lights

2023 A Mountain Christmas Trail of Lights

Fifteen miles + of twinkling holiday lights, displays and events from the Blue Ridge Parkway to the artist haven of Bakersville.

The Trail of Lights is a community wide celebration of the holiday season and all that makes our mountain communities unique. Bring your family and friends and experience our community’s gift to you! Begin at the Blue Ridge Parkway (Milepost 331 in Spruce Pine) and travel through the town of Spruce Pine and on to Bakersville, the gateway to the Roan.

Beginning the Saturday after Thanksgiving and running through New Years Eve, we have planned special events throughout the month for you to enjoy! We invite you to celebrate the holidays in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of NC…come and choose and cut your perfect Christmas tree, take in a holiday event, drive through our communities and listen to Christmas carols on our local radio station…it’s going to be a Christmas to remember!
